A curated collection of free, evidence-based mental health resources, psychoeducational tools, and community support organizations. These resources are not a substitute for professional care, but they can be a meaningful starting point.

DBT & Skills-Based Resources

Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills (dialecticalbehaviortherapy.com) — Free, comprehensive DBT skills training resources including worksheets, guided exercises, and psychoeducation on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Trauma & Survivor Support

1in6 (1in6.org) — Support and resources for men who have experienced sexual abuse or assault. Includes a 24/7 online support line, educational materials, and a therapist directory.

RAINN (rainn.org) — The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. Operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-4673) and provides free, confidential 24/7 support via phone and online chat.

Free Mental Health & Wellness Platforms

iPrevail (iprevail.com) — Free, peer-based mental health support and self-guided wellness programs including CBT-based courses, community support, and one-on-one coaching. LA County residents can access the full platform free at lacounty.iprevail.com.

7 Cups (7cups.com) — Free emotional support through trained volunteer listeners available 24/7 via online chat. Also offers affordable online therapy and community forums.

Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center (pathlightbh.com) — Offers free, virtual peer support groups for individuals and loved ones navigating mood, anxiety, OCD, and trauma-related conditions, led by trained facilitators with lived experience. Also provides free educational webinars, articles, and specialized behavioral health treatment across all levels of care.

Psychoeducation & Self-Help

NAMI — National Alliance on Mental Illness (nami.org) — Free support groups, educational programs, and advocacy resources for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Includes the NAMI HelpLine at 1-800-950-6264.

Virgil Street (virgilst.com) – A free tool that helps low-income individuals and families find social service resources available to them, including housing, food, medical care, and more. Uses a smart form to narrow down what resources are available, primarily in LA County.

Psychology Today (psychologytoday.com) — One of the largest therapist directories in the country. Also features accessible articles on a wide range of mental health topics written by licensed professionals.

The Jed Foundation (jedfoundation.org) — Mental health resources, emotional health support, and suicide prevention programs specifically designed for teens and young adults.

Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA) (coda.org) — A free, peer-led 12-step fellowship for people seeking to develop healthy, functional relationships. Offers in-person, online, and phone meetings worldwide, along with literature and recovery tools.
